Google in China si raspunsul unui coleg chinez Iulie 17, 2007Posted by Madalina in Barfe, Oameni.
L-am intrebat pe colegul chinez (care face si el un internship aici si vine de la University of Bristol) care se pare nu stia de chestia asta. Raspunsul lui pe mail:
„The difference is probably because of the content you are searching. falun gong is a very sensitive topic in China and the Chinese government considered it as cult because it keep talking about bad things about the communist party and the government. In China, its power is very weak now. But I realize here in Europe, it’s still running. Their periodical news paper is even at the reception of my department in Uni of Bristol. But one thing I can assure you is, now in China, generally things are going on quite well. Not as bad as falun gong described. Maybe the government has done something bad, but what’s important is, China is developing very fast, all the world can see this. One bad thing falun gong has done is, they tell people to burn themselves in front of the Tianan men square in Beijing. So, I’d rather to believe the government who can keep China developing fast than falun gong who made people burn themselves.
By searching falun gong in google.cn, you can only see results from mainland China, that’s why there are a lot less sites found. I think it is the Chinese government who made google do this. The Chinese government is still controlling the press and the media. Things that are against it can not be broadcast. That’s surely a bad thing for our right to know. Some times I get very angry when I am watching Hongkong news, whenever it comes to something ‘interesting’, the news is replaced by environmental advertisements. And sometimes, by mistake, or the idea of more false positive is better than one false negative, they even cut news that have nothing to do with the country.
So, there are still a lot of things for us to do to get our human rights to speak and to know. „
